Fits bigger muscled legs correctly, doesn’t consrict the calf but doesn’t fall down.
When my legs and ankles became large as I put on weight, the old crew socks cut off circulation at the top of the sock, leaving an indentation in my calf. So I started wearing ankle length socks. I tried several “large size” crew socks, but they were not large for my big 14″ shoe-length feet. Now, I’ve lost weight and with winter, wanted something warm above my ankle and so looked for large crew socks once again. Dr. Scholl’s socks were just the right thing — nice and long (up halfway on my calf), not tight but not falling down — even after being washed. Perfect for what I wanted.

    Comfortable and durable.
I bought these for my dad. I purchased a package of four six months ago and he loved them. His birthday was in November, and these were #1 on his list! He told me that they “do not leave a mark” on his legs, that they are soft and have not lost the elasticity in six months.

    The black diabetes socks
Very nice socks they hold up well stay up high value for the money they’re warm soft thick and functional absolutely love them

The best bang for your buck.
My diabetic father really enjoys how they feel on his feet, they’re comfortable and versatile for his wardrobe. He mentioned that they were hard to keep in place while he work but other than that the support gives his feet a well deserved break. The only downsides are the washability and thickness, they are usually one of the first items to disappear after a couple of washes. Although where he is lives isn’t cold, when it he goes other places, they are often the thing he least likes to wear, It’s better to find something thicker if you’re concerned about the cold. However, in most conditions this is likely the best bang for your buck.

Good sock for those with large ankles very comfortable
Comfortable socks with those who don’t like the skinny squeeze on ankles – nonbinding

Very comfortable and not too tight
Ordered some Hanes socks for my husband for work. He’s been wearing Hanes forever. He asked me if I had ordered a children’s size. He said they were very hard to get on and extremely tight on his leg. He could not wait to get them off and had a very deep dent in his leg. I ordered two types of socks, looking specifically for not tight– Gold Toe and Dr. Scholls. Both are now his new favorites. He said they are easy to put on, stay up all day and leave no dent on his leg. You get one more pair of Dr. Scholls than Gold Toe, but they are both good if “too tight” is an issue.

    Inconsistent
I have purchased about 50 pairs of these ankle socks in size 7-12. My feet are size 12. These ankle socks have very inconsistent sizing. When purchased in a 6 pack they are loose and non binding. I recommend the 6 pack even if they are priced higher per pair than other quantities. No concerns with this “variety” of the sock, although like other reviewers have noticed there is a tight plastic thread holding the socks together that may tear into the fabric and create holes in the socks. You have to be very careful cutting that plastic thread to avoid pulling the end of the thread through the sock and tearing a hole. When purchased in a 4 pack they have varying levels of binding in the elastic and are much smaller right below the elastic which causes binding. I have a visible imprint of the sock around my ankle when wearing these.Keep in mind, I am buying the same type of sock, just buying them as either a 4 pack or 6 pack in size 7-12 and the the actual size of the socks are different. If I had noticed this earlier I would have returned all the socks I purchased as a 4 pack. Maybe the 4 packs are manufactured at a different factory than the 6 packs? I have no idea.

Legit size 13-15 and these socks don’t fall down!
These are great! Sometimes when I buy size 13-15 diabetic socks (I am not diabetic but my legs swell up so regular socks can be a pain) they are either way too tight or the tops are so loose they fall down. I get needing them to be flexible at the top but some brands are really bad. These socks are perfect. They fit over my bit feet and plenty of room to pull up even if I am having a bad swelling day. I won’t buy another brand again.

Socks fit well. Not too tight but still stay up on leg. Was happy to find socks that fit for a size 15 foot!
