They run small. But theyโre fantastic!
Like others have said, they are more comfortable than Birkenstock. The leather part isnโt as soft as a Birkenstock but for the price I can just keep getting new ones if they wear out or crack.
I wear a size 8. I am a 100% perfect size 8. These run small. I sent the eight back and got an 8 1/2. I kept them but Iโm going to order more and definitely get a size 9. I like a little bit of room so I can wear socks. So if youโre going bare feet go a half a size up, and if youโre going to wear socks go a full-size up.
I would also like to take the time to mention that after looking at all of the photos in other reviewsโฆ There are so many people that do not buy the right size of sandals! They buy shoes that are way too big for some reason. Your heel should be at the back and your toes should be almost touching when you stand up. You do not need an inch to an inch and a half gap. If you do wear it like this then do not size up and it will fit you perfectly. Just some advice from an old lady who used to work in a shoe store.
Update: I wore them once or twice and then I went on vacation. We went to New Zealand and there was a lot of outdoor activities and walking. They were amazing!
I have sciatica back problems and a knee problem and Iโm getting oldโฆ And I had absolutely no issues wearing these.
They were also fantastic for the plane ride because I just put socks on and I could take my shoes on and off easily.
Iโve just returned to buy another pair in another color because you really canโt beat the price.

These are my favorite shoes. I wear them to any occasion. They go with any outfit, you can dress up Beachy, casual, elegant with a little dress, or comfy. Iโve had two pairs of these so far and I really appreciate how lon lasting they are. No rips or tears. The only thing I would say is that when they get wet, the soles can stain your feet orange. But it comes off easy, so I donโt see it as much of a con. My second pair has lasted me for almost 2 years, still going strong! The size fits well, no need to go up or down.

These are exactly what I was expecting for the price. If you are looking for a traditional Birkenstock dupe, this isnโt it. Do they look like them? Close enough but there are better dupes out there. Do they fit like them? Absolutely not but I wouldnโt expect them to given the price difference. The footbed is soft so if you donโt like the traditional cork that forms to your foot, you will like these. They are comfortable and fine for wearing around the house which is why I bought them. The upper is some sort of flexible, man made material. I donโt have much confidence in the material lasting long term. Itโs pretty cheap looking and feeling. The sole is slippery as well but Iโm sure once they get scuffed they will be fine. With all that said, Iโm happy with them to use around the house. Do size up at least a half size! Donโt go by the sizing guide.

If anyone has questions about which version of the โblackโ color-way to order, Iโve got you covered. I ordered all four variations โ Black, Black Napa, Black Oily, and Black Vegan Suede โ so you donโt have to!
For reference, in my photo/video lineup from left to right, the order is:
1. Black Vegan Suede
2. Black Napa
3. Black Oily
4. Black (listed as just โBlackโ)
5. Black Monochrome (different style)
Styles 1 through 4 are all labeled as the Lane style on the box, which helps if youโre trying to match labels across different listings or packaging. The fifth pair โ Black Monochrome โ is a completely different style.
Hereโs a quick breakdown:
โข Black Vegan Suede is exactly what it sounds like โ a soft, textured suede feel with a fully matte finish. Looks the darkest.
โข Black Napa is a smooth, sleek leather with a clean and polished look.
โข Black Oily is very close to Black Napa โ also a leather finish โ but it has a slightly more natural texture. Itโs not distressed, but it looks like a leather thatโs been gently creased or broken in a bit, giving it more visible character (not by much but a tad lighter in color).
โข Black โ the fourth pair โ is the one that surprised me the most. It has a noticeable sheen to it โ not sparkly, but definitely more reflective than expected. Whatโs especially worth pointing out is that while this version is listed as just โBlackโ on the listing, the box actually labels it as Black NUBUCK.
Finally, the fifth pair โ Black Monochrome โ is a different style altogether. Itโs got a more modern, edgy look. It feels slightly heavier, has a chunky rubber sole, and the buckles are significantly larger than the ones on the Lane style. Itโs definitely a statement piece and leans more into that fashion-forward category.
Also worth noting โ under indoor lighting or softer lighting, they all generally look black at a glance. Some may appear slightly darker or lighter, but the real differences show up under overhead lighting or outdoors. Thatโs especially true for the shinier one (Black/Black Nubuck); you may not notice the sheen indoors, but the moment light hits it โ especially in natural light or with flash โ it definitely stands out.
Iโm not reviewing comfort or wearability yet โ this is my first time buying from this brand, and I havenโt worn any of them out. This is strictly based on my first impressions right out of the box. Since I had a hard time choosing based on the listing pics alone, I figured Iโd do what I wish someone else had done: order all of them, compare side by side, and share a breakdown. Hopefully this helps you figure out which version works best for you!

These are comfortable and look nice. I actually thought I ordered my regular size which is 7 but when I received them they were size 9. Tried them on and they fit perfect. So my mistake paid off for a change lol. Recommend sizing up for sure
