OTA’s Organic Week 2025
The Organic Trade Association (OTA) Organic Week 2025 takes place September 15-17 in Washington, D.C. The event will gather policymakers, industry leaders, and advocates to meet with other industry constituents to engage in high-level discussions, workshops, and breakout meetings designed to address pressing issues and opportunities within the organic produce industry. The Dole Food Company will be sponsoring and participating in the event.

FDA Deputy Commissioner Attending CRN’s CONVERGENCE ’25
The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) has announced FDA Deputy Commissioner for Human Foods, Kyle Diamantas, will be participating in a fireside chat during this year’s CONVERGENCE ’25 event. On Friday, October 10, CRN President & CEO Steve Mister will sit down with Diamantas for a “Breakfast With…” conversation to discuss the Human Foods Program’s current focus areas and broader policy context shaping the supplement marketplace—topics with significant impact on industry leaders navigating evolving state actions on ingredients, renewed attention to GRAS processes, and the ongoing implementation of FDA’s reorganization.

ECOS Campaign Celebrates Life’s “Little Messes”
The newest TV ad from sustainable cleaning products brand, ECOS, is taking life’s beautifully chaotic moments—spilled milk, muddy footprints, and all the little messes that make life full and reminding us to embrace them. With a goal of connecting today’s families with the tiny moments of imperfection that life can throw at us, the goal of the campaign is to remind consumers that they can make mindful choices regarding the products they bring into their homes to tackle everyday snafus.
The eco-friendly brand currently offers retail shoppers a wide range of cleaning products, from laundry essentials to hand soaps, and makes all of their offerings with plant-powered ingredients and packages them with sustainability in mind. Sirio Site Earns Certification
SIRO Pharma‘s Ma’anshan site has earned TGA GMP Certification. Located in China, the site has been granted a Certificate of GMP Compliance by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) of Australia. The new certification confirms that the Ma’anshan site meets TGA’s rigorous Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements for the manufacture of non-sterile listed therapeutic goods, including pastilles, oral liquids, and powders. Certificate of compliance (Certificate Number: MI-2023-CE-13177-1) covers end-to-end finished product manufacturing, ensuring that products exceed TGA standards for safety, consistency, and quality.

ADM Publishes Regenerative Agriculture Report
ADM’s third annual Regenerative Agriculture Report is available. Detailing the company’s global regenerative agriculture efforts and progress, the 2025 edition highlights the company’s global work to support food security and strengthen the food system by advancing regenerative agriculture practices. Highlights from the report include:
- ADM’s global approach to regenerative agriculture, as well as definitions, principles and practices.
- Accomplishments and outcomes from 2024, including reducing ADM’s Scope 3 footprint by more than 1M metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions (more than triple the reduction achieved during 2023) and sequestering more than 363,000 metric tons of CO2e.
- Examples of ADM’s work to connect the entire value chain, from thousands of farmers to agronomic conservation and data monitoring partners to downstream partners such as The J.M. Smucker Co., Nestlé, PepsiCo and more.
- Details and case studies in countries spanning six continents, including North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Last month, ADM announced it was taking steps towards streamlining and strengthening its global soy protein production network by enhancing efficiency and taking advantage of the operational leverage of its global network and recently recommissioned soy protein facility in Decatur, Illinois. As part of the company’s plans to continue improving and simplifying its portfolio, operations at its Bushnell, Illinois plant will gradually come to an end. “Across ADM, we continue to advance our portfolio optimization initiatives and operational excellence agenda, including cost management, enhanced productivity, targeted simplification, strategic growth and capital discipline,” said Ian Pinner, president of ADM’s Nutrition business. “Optimizing our soy protein production network is an example of how we’re strengthening our asset platform, combining capital discipline with smart organic innovation and operational improvements to increase cash flows and returns. These decisive actions will help ensure we can continue delivering industry-leading innovative products to our customers while sharpening our competitive advantage. With our Decatur plant resuming operations, we expect operating profit to improve over time as we achieve manufacturing efficiencies and build back our Specialty Ingredients business.”
FrieslandCampina Ingredients Opens Application Center, Preps for Vitafoods
FrieslandCampina Ingredients has increased its R&D space 30% in the city-state of Singapore with the opening of its new application center. The state-of-the-art facility, supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), strengthens the brand’s on-the-ground application and technical expertise in APAC, is equipped with advanced laboratories for developing functional foods like yogurts, bars, and supplements, will house specialist experts in UHT processing, analytical testing, sensory science and packaging to speed up application development and help customers bring innovations to the APAC market faster, and will increase the company’s capabilities in high-demand areas including performance & active nutrition and children’s nutrition.
